Promo Photography – The Baron
“I GOT SHOT AT THE PUB”
This promo image is for a landlords band, ‘Baron Manfred von Landlord and his Flying Circus’.
After being nicknamed ‘The Baron’ for his 3 tier keyboard set up we came up with this idea to push the nickname a bit more within the promo photography.
The image was shot using my mobile studio, in the restaurant room of The Flowing Spring Pub. Bits of string holding the jacket and scarf up, a barstool with a large pillow on to get the legs open enough and a rubber biggles style hat.
The plane was then created in Cinema 4D to match the camera focal length/lens, and this was then combined with multiple aerial drone shots of The Flowing Spring Pub. You can see in the bottom right of the image, and the room with the white framing is where the image was actually shot.
About the print:
This is a hugely detailed composite image and is a huge 11,000 pixels by 7,500 pixels. I had it printed using the Loxley Colour Lab and it was printed onto Kodak Professional ENDURA Metallic paper, mounted onto 2mm board.
The vivid sharp detail is absolutely incredible and the shiny finish of the Endura paper is amazing. When framed there is no need at all to keep the glass in the frame!
Kodak Endura Metallic Paper: This delivers such rich, vivid colors, beautiful looking skin tones and velvet deep blacks. Its special construction makes it more resistant to tearing and curling and the finish creates a very unique, eye catching look. It is a professional archival paper which gives a life of 100 years in a typical wall/home display environment and 200 years in dark storage.
